Lieutenant House began his career as a
firefighter with the Carrollton Fire Department
in September of 1988. Lt. House was shortly
promoted to Driver/Engineer and promoted to the
rank of Lieutenant in 1995.
Some of Billy’s qualifications include, State of
Georgia Certified Fire Officer, state certified
EMT, national professional HAZ/MAT Technician,
and CPR/First Aid instructor.
Lt. House also has training in emergency vehicle
operations, heart saver AED, Cameo (chemical
database software), and building construction
for the fire service, special supplemental
inflatable restraint systems, flammable liquids
fire control, tank truck emergencies, fire
safety symposiums, air bag and automobile safety
systems, pre-hospital care of traumatic brain
injuries, radiological emergency response and
management, emergency response to terrorism, and
arson detection.
After graduating from
Haralson
County
High School in 1972, Billy served four years in
the United States Army. After his service in the
army, Lt. House started his Career in emergency
services as an EMT.
Billy is married with two children and two grand
children. He enjoys hunting and fishing.
