Firefighter Griggs began his career as a firefighter with the Haralson county fire department in 2003. He later joined the City of Carrollton Fire Department in September of 2008.                                    

Firefighter Griggs is a State of Georgia Certified firefighter, Medical First Responder, HAZ-MAT Technician, and Rope rescue technician. He also has training in crash victim extrication, basic wild land firefighting, trench rescue, pressurized container fire control, fire ground hydraulics, infection control, and national incident command systems.
